Merrowing Thread available from Emblem Edge (.com)

Now there is a Merrowing thread just for emblems available on emblemedge.com

What isn't explained clearly enough is that this is the upper looper thread for the Merrow M-3U - (a beautiful sewing machine)

In order to create great emblems you also need to have the needle and lower looper thread. There is quite a wide variety of opinion that exists concerning what one should use in the needle and lower looper - we won't even begin to try and settle the argument - but we will let you know that if you'd like a stitch sample that shows different types of emblem edges, all you need to do is call.  Perhaps if it would be of interest we'll post a selection on the blog.

Sewing Construction Filter Fabric with a Flat Seam

When a large construction company approached Merrow about joining one of the components in their green roofing system, we knew immediately the machine they needed. The problem: they needed a strong but flexible way to join dense weave, water permaeable filter material. The solution: the Merrow 70-D3B-2 LS. The 70-D3B-2 LS produces a permanent locked stitch (made with two threads) that can withstand the stress of being sandwiched between two layers of uneven material (soil and drainage fleece) without compromising the integrity of the seam or the permeability of the material. Merrow sewed off a sample of the actual filter fabric the client would be installing and shipped their 70-D3B-2 LS calibrated to sew flawlessly.
