ActiveSeam™: A definition

The Merrow ActiveSeam™ is a exciting new flat seam, produced on the premier MB-4DFO industrial  sewing machine, creating the world’s first branded stitch.

The NEW Merrow ActiveSeam™ Flat Overlock is a simple to produce, more comfortable alternative to Flatlock stitching for active wear and athletic garments.

While it retains the flat profile of the flatlock stitch, the ActiveSeam™ represents an advancement in style and offers a diverse portfolio of widths and looks not before offered.  The two thread construction and simple production make it easier and more efficient to apply, translating to significant cost savings.

When considered together, the combination of application parity, improved wearability, and production simplicity imbue the ActiveSeam™ with significantly more value and marketability than generic flatlocking.

The MB-4DFO is purpose-built to sew the ActiveSeam™ on your material.  Merrow has been hand-building it’s cam-driven sewing machines since 1838, and our Stitch Lab™ configures each MB-4DFO to sew on your material before it’s shipped to your production facility.
